South Windsor Police Ready To Host Inaugural National Night Out Event
The annual community-building campaign that promotes police and community partnerships is coming to South Windsor for the first time.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — For the first time in its 40-year history, National Night Out, an annual community-building campaign that promotes police and community partnerships, is coming to South Windsor.
The event is slated for Tuesday from 5:30 to 8 p.m. in the Rotary Pavilion at Nevers Road Park. The evening will feature police equipment demonstrations, vehicles from the South Windsor fire Department and the Ambulance Service of Manchester, food and ice cream (while supplies last), bounce houses, music and more fun for the entire family.
There is no rain date scheduled; however, that should not be an issue, as the National Weather Service forecast calls for sunny skies and a high temperature of 78. In fact, rain is not anticipated until Thursday night or Friday, according to the weather bureau.
