SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire. More great college achievements will be noted as they are received in the coming weeks.

Clark University, Worcester MA

  • Two South Windsor residents were named to Clark University's spring 2024 Dean's List.
    Logan J. Breen was named to first honors, and Devon E. Kevetos was named to second honors.

  • Roger Williams University is proud to announce that Brandon Shover, of South Windsor, graduated with a B.F.A. in creative writing in May as part of the Class of 2024.

University of Hartford, West Hartford CT

  • Olivia Dimaio and Alexa Shepardson, both of South Windsor, made the President's List for the spring 2024 semester. The President's List recognizes a select group of students reaching the highest level of academic standing. To be placed on the President's List, students must maintain a GPA of at least a 3.75 and receive grades of C or better.

University of Tampa, Tampa FL

  • Kayla Keaveny, of South Windsor, graduated from the University of Tampa. Keaveny received a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing. The commencement ceremony honored 1,717 undergraduate and graduate candidates.

Western New England University, Springfield MA

  • Western New England University held its graduate commencement ceremony on May 19 at the MassMutual Center, celebrating the Class of 2024. Steven Jeffrey Futtner of South Windsor graduated with a MS in accounting, and Connor G. Dunn of South Windsor graduated with a MS in sport leadership & coaching.
  • Western New England University held its undergraduate commencement ceremony on May 19 at the MassMutual Center. Leah Taylor Cunha graduated summa cum laude with a BSBA in entrepreneurship, and a minor in marketing. Connor Decker Smith graduated with a BSBA in marketing. Maria H. Cosme-Plein graduated with a BSBA in marketing. Owen Michael Cotton graduated with a BA in psychology.
  • Joshua Brozowski, Matthew Waterman, Elizabeth Burnham and Leah Cunha, all of South Windsor, were named to the President's List for the spring 2024 semester.
  • South Windsor residents Jason Alwang and Olivia Mack were named to the Dean's List for the spring 2024 semester.
