All are Invited to Community Tag Sale, Bottle/Can Recycling Drive, Bake Sale, Teacup Raffles for Gift Cards & Prizes, and More...
A community event for all ages will feature several different activities and experiences in one location. On Sunday, September 8 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., Temple Beth Hillel at 20 Baker Lane in South Windsor, Conn. will host a large tag sale, a bake sale, and teacup raffles with gift cards and prizes. And, at the same event, a public recycling drive for cans and bottles will take place to benefit MACC Charities and the Temple, so tag sale lovers and anyone else can drop off their “empties”, helping to protect the environment. The public is invited to come and enjoy one or more of the activities – all held rain or shine, and admission is free.
Tag Sale, Bake Sale, Raffles: Tag sale attendees will discover a wide variety of items from many families. Included will be furniture, electronics, sports equipment, housewares, bicycles and toys, gently-worn clothing for children and adults, jewelry, office supplies, and framed wall art. Baked goods and other refreshments will be available for purchase, as will be tickets for teacup raffles with gift cards and prizes donated by area attractions, restaurants and others.
Environmental Collection Drive for Empty Bottles & Cans: Everyone is welcome to drive up with bags or boxes with empty glass or plastic bottles and cans, and volunteers will help take them out of your car. Proceeds will benefit MACC Charities in Manchester and Temple Beth Hillel’s Social Action projects. Note: If people would like to support this recycling drive, but cannot keep bottles and cans piled at home, please consider recycling/redeeming them yourself and donate the funds you get to this effort.
