Up To 10 Inches On The Way for South Windsor
Schools closing early, Town Council meeting cancelled and a storm warning in effect.

The next big storm is getting started, with snow already beginning to fall.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Hartford County from 1 p.m. Tuesday until 1 p.m. Wednesday. The storm is expected to bring heavy snow starting in the afternoon and on through the evening's commute. Forecasters are predicting we could see an accumulation of 6 to 10 inches.
Temperatures aren't likely to top 20 degrees, with wind chills making it feel like 5 below zero on Tuesday night. Winds will be blowing at 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. The combination of wind and snow could reduce visibility to a quarter of a mile at times.
The National Weather Service warns that the storm will cause difficult driving conditions and many organizations are already canceling evening activities in anticipation of the snow.
South Windsor Public Schools ordered an early dismissal and the Town Council meeting has been cancelled as well.
Snow is expected to taper off by Wednesday morning.
