West Hartford Church Hosting Massive Food Drive
The post-holiday food drive is aimed at replenishing stocks at the local food pantry after high demand in recent months.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — A local church is conducting a massive, post-holiday season food drive to help replenish local food bank shelves following the busy season.
From January through March 2026, the West Hartford United Methodist Church is holding a food drive to support the local food pantry.
Folks are asked to drop off non-perishable, unexpired, and unopened donations in the bin by the front door of the church, which is located at 1358 New Britain Ave. at the corner of Berkshire Road.

Popular items include spaghetti, pasta sauce, soups, peanut butter, jelly, canned fruits and vegetables, applesauce, rice, crackers, canned protein such as tuna and chicken, cereal, and shelf-stable milk.
Additionally, the church is collecting new socks, especially men's sizes, to support a local shelter.
