Yellow got the shoutout by Times writer Brett Anderson. The pizza place also received a nod from Michelin in 2023.

Located at 1524 Wisconsin Ave. NW, the restaurant is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday-Sunday and 4 to 9 pm Tuesday Saturday.

Owner " Michael Rafidi decided to create a pizza pop-up at his Georgetown bakery during Covid lockdowns. The kitchen was already equipped with a wood-fire oven for pita bread. Mr. Rafidi found himself deploying harissa and other ingredients he encountered making pizza-adjacent dishes, like sfeehas and manoushe, with his Palestinian grandparents while growing up. … Rafidi turned Yellow, a Levantine bakery, into a Levantine pizzeria by night called (not) pizza. … The savory pies rival any craft pizza you’ll find. Don’t forget to save room for some labneh soft-serve," Anderson wrote.

"YELLOW Georgetown brings you (not) pizza ... a sourdough celebration of Levantine flavors, fired in our YELLOW wood-burning oven at 700 degrees - it looks an awful lot like pizza, but it's (not)," according to their website.
