3 DC Restaurants Among The 'Most Romantic' In America

WASHINGTON, DC — Love is in the air at these restaurants, but getting a reservation helps. Three District of Columbia eateries have been named to the online reservation service OpenTable’s list of the 100 Most Romantic Restaurants In America for 2023.

OpenTable released the list in time for Valentine’s Day celebrations — or, for those who prefer, Galentine’s Day and Palentine’s Day alternate holiday celebrations. No matter what you're celebrating, Valentine's Day falls on Feb. 14.

No Maryland or Virginia restaurants made the list this year, but three in the District of Columbia were noted, all within driving distance for Marylanders and Northern Virginia couples.

DC restaurants on the list include:

• Filomena Ristorante – Washington, DC
• Le Diplomate – Washington, DC
• Old Ebbitt Grill – Washington, D.C.

If you plan to celebrate at one of the restaurants, OpenTable recommends making your reservations now. Last year, more than half of the restaurants on the list were booked by Feb. 7, according to the site.

OpenTable analyzed more than 13 million U.S. diner reviews to develop the list, according to a news release. The list includes restaurants from 27 states, with California leading the list with 13 restaurants. Arizona has nine restaurants on the list, and Florida and Hawaii each have eight.
