Aerosmith Delays DC Show After Steven Tyler Says Vocal Cords Damaged
"I'm heartbroken to say I have received strict doctor's orders not to sing for the next thirty days," Steven Tyler said in a statement.

WASHINGTON, DC — The rock band Aerosmith delayed multiple shows — including a show in Washington, D.C. — after frontman Steven Tyler said he damaged his vocal cords.
"I’m heartbroken to say I have received strict doctor’s orders not to sing for the next thirty days," Tyler said in a statement. "I sustained vocal cord damage during Saturday’s show that led to subsequent bleeding. We’ll need to postpone a few dates so that we can come back and give you the performance you deserve."
The band shared rescheduled dates, including shows in Detroit, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Toronto, Raleigh and Cleveland.

Aerosmith launched its "Peace Out: The Farewell Tour" Sept. 2 in Philadelphia. The Washington, D.C. show was initially scheduled for Sept. 27.
All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the rescheduled dates, the band said in an Instagram post. Refunds will be available for those who cannot make the new date.

Fans with refund questions were asked to reach out to their point of purchase, the band said.
Below are the rescheduled dates:
- Monday, Jan. 29 2024 – Detroit – Little Caesars Arena
- Wednesday, Feb. 14 2024 – Chicago – United Center
- Saturday, Feb. 17 2024 – Washington, DC – Capital One Arena
- Wednesday, Feb. 21 2024 – Toronto, ON – Scotiabank Arena
- Monday, Feb. 26 2024 – Raleigh, NC – PNC Arena
- Thursday, Feb. 29 2024 – Cleveland – Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse
