All Clear At D.C. High School After Suspicious Package Report

Police gave an "all clear" signal after Duke Ellington School of Arts was evacuated because of the report of a suspicious package.

(Updated at 1:35 p.m. Thursday): WASHINGTON, D.C. — Police gave an all clear signal after a Northwest Washington high school was evacuated due to a report of a suspicious package Thursday afternoon.

Duke Ellington School of Arts was evacuated at around 11:30 a.m. and the all clear was given at about 1:20 p.m.

The school at 3500 R St NW. was cleared out and students reported to Hardy Middle School, police said.
