Chaos Erupts Outside White House After Flag Burning (Video)
Two men reportedly have been arrested after a flag burning outside the White House on July 4th.
WASHINGTON, DC -- The 4th of July wasn't all celebratory -- a flag-burning caused a scrum and then arrests outside the White House, and it was all caught on video. (Warning: Viewer discretion advised.)
Twitter user Alejandro Alvarez shared the video, saying that a man who identifies as a communist lit the flag on fire and was immediately set upon by supporters of President Trump. ABC 7's Scott Taylor reports that two were arrested after the incident and will be arraigned in court on Friday on charges of assaulting a police officer, malicious burning, resisting arrest, and obstructing a police investigation.
Other reports indicate that members of the white supremacist organization Proud Boys were seen marching through city streets with a police escort.
