D.C. To NYC: Amtrak Offering $20 Fares For Late-Night Travelers
Amtrak's new "Night Owl" fares mean D.C.-area residents can travel to Northeast Corridor cities for as little as $5.
WASHINGTON, DC — If you're a night owl, traveling from Washinton, D.C. to other major cities in the Northeast Corridor just got more affordable through Amtrak.
According to an announcement by the company, Amtrak is offering new "Night Owl" fares on select trains heading to cities like Philadelphia, Newark, and New York City between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m.
Sample fares listed by Amtrack include $20 for a one-way ticket from New York to D.C., $15 to Newark Liberty Airport, $10 from Philadelphia, $10 to Wilmington, and $5 to Baltimore.

"This is a great option for travelers returning from concerts, plays, sporting events or those who prefer later or earlier departures," Amtrak said in a news release.
The Night Owl rates are available on select routes only. Check ticket prices online.
