• ‘Key member' of DC drug trafficking crew sentenced to 16 years in prison (dcnewsnow.com) — A major fentanyl dealer tied to the “21st and Vietnam” crew has been sentenced in Washington to 16 years in prison for trafficking drugs into D.C. and taking part in a violent drive-by shooting. Prosecutors say the open-air market near 21st Street and Maryland Avenue NE pushed fentanyl, crack, meth, and other drugs into nearby neighborhoods, injuring four people in one attack.
   

• Hurricanes' Brandon Bussi becomes fastest goalie to reach 10 wins, denying Capitals in a shootout (wtop.com) — Hockey fans in Washington saw the Capitals fall 3-2 in a shootout after Carolina’s Brandon Bussi stopped all three Washington attempts and set an NHL mark as the fastest goalie to 10 wins. Despite a late Capitals lead and a spirited third period, Carolina’s rookie netminder and a tying goal in the final minutes stole the night.
