The rock superstar joined Ted Leonsis with the cup in the Caps' locker room.

WASHINGTON, DC -- The Stanley Cup's D.C. adventure continues, and this time it was rock superstar and Virginia native Dave Matthews, who got his chance to pose for a picture with the cup in the Capitals' locker room.
The Washington Capitals beat the Detroit Red Wings at Capital One Arena on Tuesday, and Dave Matthews performed at the arena on Thursday, giving him the chance to pose for the picture alongside Caps' owner Ted Leonsis.
Although born in South Africa, Matthews broke into the music scene in Charlottesville, Va. He'll be performing in his old stomping grounds Friday night.
