Daycare Employees Leaves Toddler In Hot Van, Mom Says

WASHINGTON, DC — The mother of a 2-year-old child has filed a police report stating daycare center employees left her son in a hot van for over two hours during a field trip.

The toddler's mother, Brittany Lawson, told NBC Washington that New Creation Child Development Center employees took kids to see a movie Thursday and left her son in the van.

Lawson said employees found her son in the van after the movie, but did not call an ambulance until they got back to the daycare located on Alabama Avenue in Southeast Washington.
