DC College Students Recognized For Recent Academic Honors
Patch recognizes academic achievements of college students from Washington, D.C. who have received honors at their schools.

WASHINGTON, DC — To shine a light on the academic achievements of college students from Washington, D.C., Patch shares information provided the students' families and Merit News.
Natalia Facchinato-Sitja of Washington, D.C. joined eight other students from Marietta College who volunteered during spring break to help the Savannah Bananas baseball team start their 2022 world tour. The students shadowed team employees as a way to garner experience in a variety of business and marketing areas, including fan services, in-game entertainment, and ticket operations. Facchinato-Sitja, who has not declared a major yet, is a graduate of Woodrow Wilson Senior High School.
The following students were named to the Illinois Wesleyan University's dean's list for the fall semester of the 2021-22 academic year:

- Sasha Rosenbaum of Washington, D.C. is a sophomore majoring in music theatre.
- Avi Marban-Ramirez of Washington, D.C., is a first-year majoring in economics/political science.
To be named to the dean's list at Illinois Wesleyan University, students must earn a grade point average of 3.50 or better during the semester.
Ortez Marshman, a sophomore communication, technology and culture major from Washington, D.C., performed with the Bridgewater College's Jazz Ensemble on March 20, in Cole Hall on the colleges campus in Bridgewater, Virginia. Marshman plays the trombone in the ensemble, which is conducted by Dr. Christine Carrillo.

Thomas Coulon of Washington, D.C., is participating in Hamilton College's academic program in France for the spring 2022 semester. As part of the program, Hamilton students stay in French-speaking homes, as a way live the language and culture. Coulon, a junior majoring in mathematics, is a graduate of Washington Latin Public Charter School.
