DC and northern VA are under a frost advisory overnight with lows predicted to drop close to freezing, the National Weather Service said.

WASHINGTON, DC — Parts of northern Virginia and the District of Columbia are under a frost advisory overnight into Monday morning with lows predicted to drop close to freezing, the National Weather Service said.

But the cold snap won't last long, with high temperatures expected to reach the 70s Tuesday, and low 80s on Wednesday and Thursday.

Temperatures will dip as low as 33 to 36 degrees in areas under the advisory, leading to frost formation, according to the weather service, which says freezing temperatures are possible.
