WASHINGTON, DC — A Washington, D.C. pizzeria was among 100 eateries included in a new list celebrating the best pizza in the world, according to an Italian pizza-ranking website.
Slice & Pie in D.C.'s Dupont Circle neighborhood was ranked the 98th best pizzeria in the world, according to 50 Top Pizza's 2024 guide that recognizes the top pizza from multiple countries including Italy, Japan, England and Brazil.
"Born from the decades of experience of pizzaiolo Giulio Adriani, Slice & Pie has a strong American character, recognizable from the majority of products used, which aims to maintain as much Italian identity as possible," the ranking says of Slice & Pie.
