WASHINGTON, DC — Easter, a Christian holiday celebrated on Sunday, April 17 this year, often involves a special meal enjoyed with family or friends. If you're looking to take the work out of the holiday, check out specials offered at local restaurants.

There are numerous options for Easter dining in and around the District. Some restaurants will offer specials, while others will be open for regular dining on the holiday.

For those celebrating Passover, Sababa, the District's new "modern Israeli" restaurant will be offering seasonal specials from April 15-23, including Miso Matzo Ball Soup; Zucchini Al Ha’esh; Braised Beef Brisket; Salmon Chraimeh, braised with olives and tomato; and Lamb Loin Al Ha’esh with cherry almond muhammara and mint tabouli.
