Some Starbucks stores will host Pop Up Cheer Parties over 10 days; the first is at a D.C. site Friday, Dec. 23. Find time, address.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — In a move to spread goodwill, Starbucks is giving away a free tall espresso drink to customers at some stores starting Friday, Dec. 23. Named 10 Days of Cheer, the freebie may also help boost sales as customers grab other items. Starbucks describes the promotion this way: "As 2016 wraps up, we hope everyone will ring in the new year with love in their hearts."
Starting Friday, select Starbucks stores will host 1,000 Pop Up Cheer Parties over 10 days, where customers can sip free tall handcrafted espresso beverages, from a cafe moccha or a cappuccino to an eggnogg latte. Each day through Jan. 2, except Christmas, 100 Starbucks stores in the country will take part in the free drink offer, from 1-2 p.m. local time.
The D.C. location for Friday, Dec. 23 is located at 22nd & K, 2175 K Street.
