Heat Wave Hour-by-Hour to 102 Degrees: Washington DC Weather Forecast

The leaves may be falling, but temperatures will rise Thursday to a heat index in the triple digits. Here's the latest forecast.

WASHINGTON, DC — Fall is just around the corner, but we won't be escaping the heat just yet. The heat index, or "feels like" temperature, is expected to reach up to 105 degrees on Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.

Areas that will be most impacted by the heat will be along Interstate 95, according to the latest forecast.

10 a.m.: 94 degrees

11 a.m.: 99 degrees

noon: 101 degrees

3 p.m.: 102 degrees

5 p.m.: 100 degrees

6 p.m.: 99 degrees

7 p.m.: 95 degrees

8 p.m.: 93 degrees

The heat index is expected to reach 99 degrees on Friday and climb over 100 degrees again on Saturday. There's a chance of thunderstorms Friday and then again Saturday night.

We should see much cooler temperatures Sunday and for the start of the work week.
