Here Are DC, VA 2022 James Beard Award Finalists

Top chefs from DC and Virginia, and mouth-watering restaurants, received nods on the prestigious James Beard Award list.

WASHINGTON, DC — Get ready to start making reservations, DC region gourmands.

A veritable smorgasbord of DC and Virginia restaurants — along with their chefs — were named as finalists for the 2022 James Beard Awards.

The prestigious culinary prize winnowed their previously announced semifinalists, which included a wider swath of DC eateries and cooks, to this list of nominees. From here, the crème de la crème will be chosen.

"Winners will be celebrated at the James Beard Restaurant and Chef Awards ceremony on Monday, June 13, 2022, at the Lyric Opera of Chicago," the James Beard Foundation's announcement states.
