Italian Café To Arrive In Downtown DC By End Of Year
Puro Gusto, an Italian café, will be opening its first restaurant in the United States in downtown Washington, D.C., later this year.

WASHINGTON, DC — Puro Gusto, an Italian café, will be opening its first restaurant in the United States in downtown Washington, D.C., later this year
Translated as “pure taste,” Puro Gusto will serve Italian coffee, pastries, sandwiches and more. The all-day café will be located at the Westory Building, 1345 F Street NW.
Owned by global restaurant group Autogrill, the first Puro Gusto opened in Milan, Italy, in 2006.

Its selection of hot and cold all-day Italian beverages will include the Shakerato, Crema Caffè and Americano, as well as non-Italian coffees such as traditional American brewed coffee, cold brew, nitro and a selection of hot teas.
Puro Gusto will serve a variety of croissants, along with breakfast Pangusto, yogurts, fruits and grain-based parfaits. For lunch and beyond, the Pangusto options tomato and burrata, fig and prosciutto, and three cheese and olive. A selection of salads, soups and panini also are on the menu.

In the evening, Puro Gusto will serve an assortment of Italian beer and wine, and coffee-based cocktails. The food menu includes small plates such as stuffed figs, Crostini and Tuscan white bean hummus.
