Pret A Manger restaurants in D.C. are now offering a new Meatless Meatball Wrap that features plant-based meatballs and marinara sauce.

WASHINGTON, DC — For both vegetarians and meat-eaters who love a good fake meat sandwich, Pret A Manger restaurants in Washington, D.C., are now offering a new Meatless Meatball Wrap.
Developed exclusively by Meatless Farm for Pret A Manger, the new Meatless Meatball Wrap features plant-based meatballs, a layer of marinara sauce, red onions, red peppers and crispy onions inside a seven-grain wrap.
The wrap, the first plant-based meat item on Pret A Manger’s U.S. menu, offers 24 grams of plant-based protein.

“We are excited to offer our first meat-alternative menu item for customers who are looking to enjoy more plant-based options for health reasons, animal welfare, or helping to protect our planet," Jorrie Bruffett, president of Pret A Manger USA, said in a statement.
The Meatless Meatball Wrap has become a fan-favorite recipe in the U.K. — where veggie burgers and other fake meat items are more common at eateries than in the U.S. — after a launch last year.
