Memorial Day 2022: What's Open, Closed In Washington, DC
Here are the openings and closings to know around Washington, D.C. for Memorial Day 2022.

WASHINGTON, DC — Many services, agencies and government offices around Washington, D.C. will be closed on Monday for Memorial Day.
The holiday is considered the unofficial start of summer and a time to reflect and honor those who have died serving in the armed forces.
National Memorial Day Parade will take place from 2-4 p.m., on Monday, May 30, on Constitution Avenue, from 7th-17 Street, Northwest in Washington, D.C. The free event is hosted by the American Veterans Center. The parade will be streaming on the American Veterans Center's YouTube and Facebook pages.

Memorial Day of Observance at the Wall is scheduled for 1-2 p.m., on Monday, May 30, at the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial, 5 Henry Bacon Drive, Northwest.
Some services in the District are closed or modified for the federal holiday on Monday, May 30. Below are the changes to know.

All Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) locations will be closed on Monday, May 30.
D.C. Public Library (DCPL) neighborhood locations will be closed on May 30. Online services will be available.
DPR Recreation, Community, and Aquatic Centers are closed on May 30. DPR parks, playgrounds, athletic courts, and fields will be open.
Department of Human Services Economic Security Administration Service Center is closed May 30.
D.C. Health & Wellness Center is closed May 30.
D.C. Department of Public Works (DPW) will suspend sanitation services on May 30, but they will resume on May 31.
DC Circulator: National Mall Route will be affected by the Memorial Day Parade. The following service changes will go into effect on Saturday at the start of service. National Mall Route will detour from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Metrorail & Metrobus Schedule: Metrorail will be open at 7 a.m. and close at midnight, providing normal services off five of six lines, with service adjustments on the Orange Line due to the Platform Improvement Project. Metrobus service will vary by route, with buses running on a Sunday schedule. MetroAccess customers must make reservations to travel before the holiday. Subscription trips will be canceled.
