Northwestern Mutual Strengthens Regional Leadership to Expand Advisor Growth and Community Impact

Longtime Northern Virginia resident appointed as field director of Washington, D.C. network office

WASHINGTON – Nov. 11, 2025 – As part of its continued investment in the Greater Washington region, Northwestern Mutual – Washington, D.C. is expanding efforts to recruit and develop financial professionals who reflect the communities they serve. The firm’s focus on leadership development and mentorship reflects its long-term commitment to strengthening access to trusted financial guidance across the region.

To help lead this next phase of growth, Megan Hill has been named field director for the Washington, D.C. network office. With deep roots in Northern Virginia, Hill brings more than a decade of leadership experience and a proven record of helping advisors build meaningful, client-centered careers.

Born and raised in Loudoun County, Hill began her Northwestern Mutual career as a college intern while playing Division I soccer at George Mason University. Since then, she has trained and mentored more than 300 financial advisors and leaders, drawing from the firm’s Granum philosophy to emphasize discipline, relationship-building and purpose-driven growth.

“Northern Virginia is home for me – it’s where I started my career, built lifelong relationships and now get to give back by developing the next generation of advisors,” said Hill. “From D.C. to Prince George’s County and across the region, our goal is to create pathways for talented, community-focused professionals to find purpose and success in this career.”

Hill plans to expand her team to 20 advisors within the next year. She is also partnering with George Mason University’s CFP program to connect students and young professionals to meaningful careers in financial planning.
