Northwest Washington's Joan of Arc statue is carrying a bit of a lighter load these days.

Sadly, Joan had only just gotten her sword back about five years ago--officials say it was also stolen back in the 1970s, and was not replaced until 2011, more than 30 years later.
While authorities search for the thief or thieves and the statue's missing sword, Park Service officials say they are working on getting a replacement sword for the statue in the meantime.
