(wusa9.com) — Wegmans says some of its stores, including those in the broader DMV region around Washington, may be using facial recognition as part of their security systems, but won’t confirm which locations. The company insists the technology targets only previously flagged individuals, doesn’t share scan data with third parties, and keeps images only as long as needed for safety investigations.
