Person Fatally Struck At L'Enfant Plaza: Metro
A person has died after they jumped off a train platform at L'Enfant Plaza, officials said.

WASHINGTON, DC — A person has died after they jumped off a train platform in Southeast Washington Monday morning, Metro officials announced.
The unidentified person was struck by a train at L'Enfant Plaza, officials reported at about 10 a.m.
DC and Fire EMS officials confirmed the person's death a short time later:

Metro riders should expect delays until about 1 p.m., officials said, as trains are sharing a track on the Blue and Orange lines between the Smithsonian and Federal Center Stops. Silver Line trains are only running between Wiehe-Reston East and Ballston.
