Person Rescued From Potomac Near Key Bridge In Life-Threatening Condition
A witness reported seeing a person enter the water and not resurface, the DC Fire and EMS Department said.

WASHINGTON, DC — A person was rescued overnight from the Potomac River near the Francis Scott Key Memorial Bridge, but suffered life-threatening injuries, according to authorities.
A witness reported seeing a person enter the water and not resurface, the DC Fire and EMS Department posted on X around 11 p.m. Saturday.
Minutes later, the department reported the person had been found and removed from the water. The victim was being taken to a hospital in critical condition, the department said in a follow-up post around 11:20 p.m.
