White House Historical Association Launches First-Ever Partnership With St. Regis

The White House Historical Association has partnered with The St. Regis Washington, D.C. in celebration of this year's holiday season.

WASHINGTON, DC — The White House Historical Association has partnered with The St. Regis Washington, D.C. in celebration of this year’s holiday season.

The first-ever partnership includes a St. Regis White House Holiday Presidential Suite Experience, a collaboration on The St. Regis Washington, D.C.’s Christmas Tree, and a Presidential Holiday Tea tasting. The hotel is located two blocks north of Lafayette Square at the corner of 16th and K streets NW.

Upon arrival to The St. Regis Washington, D.C., guests are greeted by the St. Regis Presidential Christmas Tree, located in the lobby. The Christmas tree holds festive decorations provided by the White House Historical Association, including every Official White House Christmas Ornament from 1981-2021, and is topped with a handmade eagle.

This year’s Official White House Christmas Ornament honors former President Lyndon B. Johnson, featuring a painting of the 1967 Blue Room Christmas tree and a quote from Johnson: “Our mission is at once the oldest and the most basic of this country: to right wrong, to do justice, to serve man."

“The partnership extends a grand scale of unique holiday programming, while also offering a look into the evolving history of White House holiday traditions, and recognizing First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy, who founded the Association 60 years ago, Stewart McLaurin, president of the White House Historical Association, said in a statement Monday.

The White House Historical Association was established in 1961 to support Kennedy's vision of a restored White House. The association’s mission is to assist in the preservation of the state and public rooms, fund acquisitions for the White House permanent collection, and educate the public on the history of the White House.

The Presidential Suite at The St. Regis has been decorated with retail products from the White House Historical Association, including Byers' Choice Carolers, a Festival of Light II Menorah, Wooden Advent Calendar for kids and a Christmas Tree with Halcyon Days Blue Room and Green Ornaments.

Available to book through Dec. 31, the St. Regis package includes the following features:

  • Two-night stay in the festive White House Holiday Suite with signature St. Regis Butler Service.
  • Four-course private dinner in the dining room of the suite to enjoy meals inspired by favorite dishes that have been served at the White House.
  • Full White House Christmas Ornament Collection to take home.
  • Moonlit tour of the monuments and Washington, D.C. holiday decor, with a professional photographer.
  • Additional food and beverage services and experiences, including a private champagne sabering in suite, Holiday Presidential Tea, and two holiday cocktails in The St. Regis Bar with reserved seating in front of the bar’s fireplace.
  • The option to book an exclusive VIP White House Experience that includes a private tour of the Decatur House with a White House Historical Association staff member to view presidential artifacts.
