Overnight Outlook
- Although temperatures reached the 40s Sunday, they are forecast to drop below freezing again overnight and into much of this week. Anything that melted will refreeze Sunday night.
- Crews will report early Monday morning to treat areas that are prone to refreezing, as well as bridges, ramps, and overpasses.
- Plan now for a slow and icy commute Monday morning, if you must travel to work, VDOT said. Use caution while driving, including reducing your speeds and braking and turning gently. Plan extra time for your commute.
