Washington DC's Luxury Hotels Ranked

WASHINGTON, DC — The Jefferson and The Hay-Adams are two of the top 10 Best Hotels in America, according to a new list from U.S. News and World Report released Thursday morning. The magazine ranked 38 D.C. hotels in its new 2017 list.

The rankings are determined by using opinions from travel experts and online guest reviews at TripAdvisor. U.S. News limits the list to luxury hotels, so don't be surprised when you can't find your roadside standards.

The top hotel in the nation is Chicago's The Langham, with Hawaii's Four Seasons Resort Hualalai at No. 2.

For both of D.C.'s top hotels, a big selling point is the view. U.S. News points out you can get a suite at The Jefferson, ranked third nationally, overlooking the Washington Monument. Ranked seventh across the U.S., The Hay-Adams offers some guests a view of the White House and the National Mall.

The controversial Trump International Hotel enters the list of 38 luxury DC hotels at No. 30. The recently renovated Watergate Hotel is at No. 27.
