Heavy Winds Expected To Sweep Across DC, NoVA Bringing Gusts Up To 50 MPH
National Weather Service issued a wind advisory for 11 a.m. Monday through early Tuesday for most of the Washington, D.C. region.

WASHINGTON, DC — National Weather Service issued a wind advisory for most of the Washington, D.C. area. The advisory is in effect from 11 a.m. on Monday to 1 a.m. on Tuesday.
Residents can expect winds of 15 to 25 mph to sweep through the region with from southwest, including gusts of up to 50 mph, according to NWS. In the evening, the wind will shift to the northeast.
The public is advised to secure objects that could be blown about by heavy winds. Gusts may also bring down tree limbs and power lines, which could lead to power outages across the region.
