Hurricane Irma: Miami-Dade Schools Announce More Closings
BREAKING: The closings were announced as Hurricane Irma continues to impact all of South Florida.

MIAMI, FL — Miami-Dade County public schools will be closed and all activities canceled on Tuesday, Sept. 12.
"As Hurricane Irma continues to affect South Florida, Miami-Dade County Public Schools is taking all necessary measures to ensure the safety and security of our families and employees during and after the storm," the school system said in a statement. Meanwhile, the University of Miami says the earliest classes will resume will be Sept. 18.
We are proactively planning the recovery process. Earliest classes will resume on Coral Gables main & Marine campuses will be Monday, 9/18.
