Brookhaven Assault Suspect Hiding In Wingstop's Ceiling Arrested

BROOKHAVEN, GA — A man accused of threatening staff members was arrested this week after he was found hiding in the ceiling of a Wingstop, Brookhaven Police said Thursday.
Officers responded to the local business Wednesday, and while there, they discovered an active warrant for assault had been taken against the unidentified suspect, police said.
Police did not identify the name of the business. However, body camera footage released Thursday by the police department appeared to show a Wingstop.

Officers tried to detain the suspect, police said, but he was accused of breaking loose from the officers and hiding in the Wingstop's ceiling.
A drone was then deployed, and he was found in a corner section of the ceiling, police said.

The body camera video appears to show footage of the man's initial interaction with police and the search in the ceiling. Police are then seen tearing through the ceiling.
The man then complied and was taken into custody, police said.
