Man In Fatal Brookhaven Hit-And-Run Arrested

The fatal crash happened at the intersection of Peachtree Road and Dresden Drive in Brookhaven.

BROOKHAVEN, GA — An Atlanta man was arrested in connection with a hit-and-run that killed another man Sunday in Brookhaven, police said Monday.

The crash happened around 1:45 a.m. at the intersection of Peachtree Road and Dresden Drive, Brookhaven Police said.

When officers arrived, they found a man dead in the outside southbound lane of Peachtree, police said. The man, who was not identified, died of his injuries, police said.

Officers used Flock cameras and license plate readers to track the suspect's vehicle to Atlanta, where police said 19-year-old Kendall Hudson was arrested on charges of first-degree homicide by vehicle.

He was additionally arrested on charges of hit and run resulting in death, duty to report accident, driving under the influence-less safe, reckless driving, too fast for conditions/failure to obey traffic control device and obstruction, police said. He was taken to the DeKalb County Jail, police said.
