Back To School: Douglas County 2021-22 School Calendar

Parents in Douglas County can mark the first day of school coming next week.

DOUGLAS COUNTY, GA — Back-to-school planning has already begun in our area, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in Paulding County.

The first day of school for most students in Douglas County is next Wednesday, Aug. 4.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change as the coronavirus pandemic nears its year-and-a-half point. A mix of in-person, virtual and hybrid learning is still possible in Douglas County.

As of July 23, masks are recommended but not required in all Douglas County School System schools and buildings. However, masks must be worn by passengers and drivers on DCSS school buses, in accordance with U.S. Department of Transportation guidelines. Vaccinations against COVID-19 are not required.
