NFL's Kadarius Toney Accused Of Strangling Woman At His GA Home
GA jail records showed Kadarius Toney, formerly of the Kansas City Chiefs and Cleveland Browns, was arrested and accused of strangulation.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — Former NFL wide receiver Kadarius Toney, of Douglasville, was arrested Friday after reportedly being accused of strangling a woman.
Douglas County Jail records showed Toney, 26, was arrested and charged on suspicion of obstructing/harassing 911 calls and aggravated assault-strangulation.
He was accused of gripping a woman's throat “with enough force to cause her to be unable to breath(e)” on Jan. 14 at his Douglasville home, the Associated Press reported, citing arrest warrants.

The woman had hemorrhaging in her eyes and visible red marks, the news outlet reported.
Toney was additionally accused of taking away the woman's phone when she attempted to call 911 and cancelling "voice commands for the phone to call 911 while physically assaulting her,” People reported.

Jail records showed Toney was granted a combined $50,000 bond.
Toney, a former Florida Gator, was a first-round draft pick in 2021. The two-time Super Bowl champion from Alabama is formerly of the New York Giants, Kansas City Chiefs and Cleveland Browns. He most recently played three games last season for the Browns, NBC reported, before he was released in December 2024.
