Murder Suspect Arrested After 4 Shot At GA Bar (patch.com) — Douglas County residents are learning more about a deadly weekend shooting at Marlene’s Bar in Austell, where four people were shot after repeated disturbances and one suspect later died. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has charged the second suspect, Chauncey Dashon Martin, with felony murder and multiple other offenses, and he is being held without bond at the county jail.
   

2. 3 Face Robbery Charges In Douglas Co. (patch.com) — Douglasville neighbors are hearing how an armed robbery involving a motorcycle on South Whisper Drive led to two police chases near Fairburn Road and Midway Drive. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says three suspects were arrested in Douglasville and Atlanta on robbery, kidnapping, assault, and related charges, and all remain jailed without bond.
   

3. Douglas County man accused of shaking 3-month-old daughter to death (thegeorgiagazette.com) — Douglasville police are investigating the death of a 3-month-old girl after her Douglas County father was arrested and charged with murder and child cruelty in connection with alleged violent shaking injuries. Officers first responded to an apartment on West Stewart Mill Road in December, and now ask anyone with information to contact the Douglasville Police Department as the case continues.
   

4. Massey To Compete Full-Time ARCA West Schedule For BMR in 2026 (speedwaydigest.com) — Douglasville racing driver Mason Massey is set to run the full 2026 ARCA Menards Series West schedule with Bill McAnally Racing, piloting the No. 19 Chevrolet. The 28-year-old Georgia native, backed by sponsors including NAPA and local ties like Special Olympics of Georgia, hopes to turn his extensive NASCAR experience into a championship run starting February 28.
