Demand up as much as 4000% (usatoday.com) — Douglasville is one of just six metro Atlanta areas where short-term rental demand is actually down for 2026 World Cup match days, even as many nearby neighborhoods see spikes of several thousand percent. The report, based on Airbnb and VRBO data, suggests most of the rental frenzy is concentrating closer to central Atlanta stadium sites, leaving Douglasville comparatively calmer for now.
