DOUGLASVILLE, GA — With the Presidents Day holiday on Monday, many workers and students in Douglasville will get a long weekend.
George Washington’s Birthday is Feb. 22, but the federally-observed Presidents Day/George Washington Day falls on the third Monday in February.
Government offices, schools and other services will be closed on Feb. 21, while other services like trash pickup and transit may have schedule changes. Below are the openings and closings to know in Douglasville.

- Douglas County government offices and courts: Open Monday.
- West Georgia Regional Library System: All branches are open for regular hours Monday.
- Douglas County School System: Monday is not a holiday for DCSS students or staff.
- Post offices: This is a federal holiday so all USPS post offices will be closed Monday, Feb. 21. Regular mail and packages will not be delivered or sent.
- Banks: Most banks will be closed Monday.
