• UGA freshman injured in skiing accident says he's grateful for support that got him back home (atlantanewsfirst.com) — A Dunwoody-raised University of Georgia freshman is back in metro Atlanta after a serious skiing accident in Colorado, now undergoing intensive rehabilitation at the Shepherd Center. He’s relearning everyday tasks, leaning on his parents’ daily visits, and says community support that funded his medical flight home has changed his outlook as he faces months of outpatient therapy ahead.
   

• One kit, one life: Georgia schools receive overdose reversal tools (atlantanewsfirst.com) — Dunwoody families should know that every Georgia public school, including Dunwoody High, is being equipped with Narcan overdose-reversal kits after a local teen’s fatal overdose and another student’s near-miss. State leaders say the new program, funded by opioid settlement dollars, aims to ensure trained staff and replacement kits are available wherever a student might need lifesaving help.
