• Officers find wanted man in abandoned building (appenmedia.com) — Dunwoody police recently arrested a man wanted out of Cherokee County after finding him hiding in an underground shaft inside a vacant business off Perimeter Center East near Ashford Dunwoody Road. Officers responded to a loitering call, located the suspect, confirmed an active warrant, cited him locally, and transferred him to the DeKalb County Jail for another agency.
   

• Georgia college student hospitalized with fractured skull after ski accident (wjcl.com) — An 18-year-old Dunwoody-area University of Georgia student is recovering from a devastating ski accident in Colorado that left him with a fractured skull and multiple other serious injuries. His mother describes the terrifying hours after he was found unconscious on the mountain, and says the family is now focused on his long rehabilitation, including a planned move to Atlanta’s Shepherd Center.
