Police: 2 Charged for Elder Exploitation

Two Dunwoody residents were arrested after a nine-month long investigation.

Two Dunwoody residents have been charged with stealing money from a 92-year-old victim, according to police

The Dunwoody Police Department in cooperation with the DeKalb County District Attorney’s office have arrested two people on charges of elder exploitation.

Susan Abbott Wofford, 55, of Dunwoody had power of attorney for the affairs of a 92-year-old family member. Wofford was arrested and charged with four counts of elder exploitation.

James Blake Wofford, 57, of Dunwoody was also arrested and charged with two counts of elder exploitation.

Documents show that both suspects misappropriated money from the victim, according to authorities.

The investigation is ongoing to determine how much money was taken.
