Woodworking Store Opens With Prizes, Demos, and Guest Appearance

This weekend's grand opening of Rockler Woodworking in Sandy Springs celebrates the spirit of DIY.

Rockler Woodworking and Hardware will hold a grand opening event in Sandy Springs on Sept. 27 that features door prizes, product demonstrations, and a special guest appearance from professional woodworker and writer Chris Marshall.

The day’s product demonstrations will showcase new and interesting tools and techniques for woodworkers of all skill levels, while the first 150 attendees will receive door prizes. Guests will also get the chance to win one of the grand prizes: a $800 Jet variable speed wood lathe or a DeWalt gyroscopic screwdriver.

“[It’s] designed as a day to celebrate both Rockler’s expanded space and the ever increasing popularity of making things by hand,” said Sandy Springs store manager John Carignan in a press release. “More and more, people are rolling up their sleeves and making things of great utility and beauty. Woodworking has never been more popular and this store will allow greater access to see the tools and techniques that make it all happen.”
