  1. A 15-year old and a 16-year old are in the hospital after being shot Tuesday evening near the Tindall Fields apartments. Deputies responded to a call about a shooting in the area Tuesday around 8:45 p.m. They found the two teenagers with gunshot wounds, and they were taken to the hospital. There is no suspect at this time and the case is being investigated. (13WMAZ.com)
  2. The brand-new Poplar Street Farmers Market started on Wednesday at Hollingsworth Park. The market will run on Wednesdays from 3:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. and is operated by the Middle Georgia Growers Co-op. The farmers market is sponsored by First Choice Primary Care, a non-profit community health center. (13WMAZ.com)
  3. Bibb County celebrated the opening of the new Frankie Everett Lewis Park on Tuesday with a ribbon cutting. The park on Lynmore Avenue in Macon includes a picnic area, basketball courts, and a track. The park is named after Lewis who was an advocate for the community. (WGXA)

  • The Gardens at Brookdale produced quite the harvest this week! The garden's haul included 15 pounds of green beans, 8 pounds of cucumbers, and one pound of peppers, which will be used to cook meals for residents at the Brookdale Resource Center.   • The Northeast High School Academic Bowl team recently competed in the National Academic Quiz Bowl Q-Unlimited competition. This exciting event allowed the students on the team to compete virtually against teams from around the globe including Dubai and Canada. (Bibb County School District via Facebook)
  • The Middle Georgia Regional Library will be participating in the Bibb County School District Summer Nutrition Meals program. Meals will be served at Charles A.
