🌱 Colorado Based Group Buys Macon Max-Storage + 'All About Animals'

  1. Spartan Investment Group, based in Colorado, has acquired Max Storage, a self-storage facility with 515 units in Macon. The specific details of the seller and sales price were not disclosed. The buyer intends to rebrand the facility as FreeUp Storage Macon Dove Street and plans to lease a 13,800-square-foot warehouse on the property. This acquisition marks the 15th FreeUp property in Georgia and the fourth in Macon for Spartan Investment Group. (ReBusiness Online)
  2. All About Animals, a pet rescue group in Macon, organized an adoption event in Carolyn Crayton Park where visitors had the opportunity to meet adorable dogs and cats looking for forever homes. Adoption fees were reduced to $200 for the weekend, and applications and adoption contracts were readily available. In addition to adoptions, the event offered merchandise, food, and drinks, with support from Bonefish Grill. For those who couldn't attend, All About Animals regularly shares adoptable animals on their Facebook page to raise awareness about homeless pets in the area. (WMAZ)
  3. Derrick Goodson, a 23-year-old man, was arrested by the Bibb County Sheriff's Office for attempting to burglarize a Marathon gas station. He was apprehended while hiding in the bathroom ceiling of the gas station located on Harrison Road around 3:00 a.m. Further investigation revealed his involvement in a previous burglary attempt at the same gas station. Goodson is now facing charges of burglary and criminal attempt to commit a felony. (WMGT)
