  1. A video of a man with what appeared to be a gun on Pio Nono Avenue in Macon has gone viral on TikTok, with 1.9 million views as of Jun. 5. The video is about 25 seconds long and shows the deputies approaching 34-year-old Marquavius Williams, who is standing in front of a barber shop near the corner of Pio Nono and Anthony Road. According to an incident report from the Bibb sheriff’s office, Williams was arrested for reckless conduct on May 27 but the three guns were actually "Air Cartridge BB Guns." An investigation is still underway and Williams's motivations are still unknown. (AOL News)
  2. Today, Jun. 6, Macon-Bibb commissioners are scheduled to discuss approving a new election supervisor. Two weeks ago, the Board of Elections lawsuit against Mayor Lester Miller and county commissioners over selecting a new elections supervisor was dismissed. The commissioners will also approve four election board members Joel Hazard, Robert Abbot, Karen Evans-Daniel, and Thomas Ellington. (13 WMAZ)
  3. On Sunday, Jun. 4, numerous people enjoyed a new Plaza at the corner of Second Street and Cotton Avenue in Macon. The Corron Avenue Plaza has been open for almost two months after the completion of the $650,000 expansion project and the removal of the historic Confederate statue. (13 WMAZ)

  • Joshua David Bauer, 24, of Macon was arrested in Monroe County for allegedly robbing a church. On Saturday, Jun. 3, deputies found microphones and other items taken from Parker Chapel AME Church on Highway 83 South during the arrest. (WGXA News)
