Alert Canceled After Missing Marietta Dentist Safely Located
A be-on-the-lookout alert has been canceled after a missing dentist from Marietta has been safely found after a week.
COBB COUNTY, GA — A missing dentist living in Marietta and working in Dallas has been safely located, Cobb County Police said Sunday.
A be-on-the-lookout issued for the whereabouts of Dr. Melanie Litt has been canceled, police said. Litt is listed as a dentist at the Family Dentistry at Seven Hills in Dallas.
She was last seen on Oct. 13 and reported missing the next day, police said.

The missing persons report came after a coworker requested police do a welfare check on Litt after she did not arrive at work, WANF reported.
The details of her disappearance were not immediately known, but police said she was found safe around noon Sunday.

At the time, there was no foul play suspected in her disappearance, police said.
