Cobb Schools To Go Virtual During Election Runoff
The virtual learning day is only scheduled for Dec. 6, the day of the U.S. Senate runoff.
MARIETTA, GA — Schools in Cobb County will have a virtual learning day on Dec. 6 due to the U.S. Senate runoff election in Georgia, according to school officials in a notice to parents Friday.
The runoff is between incumbent Rev. Raphael Warnock, a Democrat, and his challenger, Herschel Walker.
Students will not need to log on to the computer in live sessions but will instead have independent work, school officials said. The school system will utilize the Cobb Teaching and Learning System platform for teaching.
